Studio Tour Tokyo Unveils a Summer of Wizarding Treats, High Tea, and a Tom and Jerry Takeover
Summer at Hogwarts usually means an empty castle — but in Tokyo, the magic is just heating up.
Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter has revealed its summer 2026 line-up, and it’s a full season of seasonal treats, grown-up high tea, hands-on wand-making, and a first-ever crossover with a pair of very famous troublemakers. Here’s what’s on the menu — literally and otherwise.
Summer treats fit for the Great Hall
Through September 6, the tour’s cafés are pouring on the seasonal magic. The headliners include a mini sundae inspired by treacle tart (Harry’s all-time favourite pudding); Fluffy’s Chocolate Cupcake Drink Set (¥1,500, about $10), topped with a marshmallow version of the three-headed dog from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone; and Hagrid’s Umbrella – Strawberry Cone (¥650, about $4.50), a sablé cone modelled after Hagrid’s famous pink brolly. Hungrier visitors can tuck into the Great Hall Summer Feast (¥3,800, about $26), a lighter, family-friendly update on the tour’s popular Great Hall spread. Several treats double as third-anniversary celebrations, marking three years since the attraction opened in June 2023.
Afternoon tea, Evening High Tea, and wand-making
Backlot Café’s “Diagon Alley Shopping List” Afternoon Tea — a three-tier selection with a welcome drink, running through September 6 — leans into Harry and Hagrid’s school-supply run with treats like Hedwig chocolate cake, wand-shaped churros, and Molly Weasley’s sandwich platter. On select dates, an Evening High Tea adds a roast beef main and free-flow drinks for a more grown-up finish. New packages introduced on July 1 include a luxurious adults’ High Tea experience and an Original Wand-Making Workshop, where guests paint and decorate a one-of-a-kind wand.
Tom and Jerry crash the castle
The season’s biggest surprise: from July 17 to August 31, the studio hosts “Tom and Jerry’s Mischief Celebration,” marking both Tom and Jerry’s 85th anniversary and the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. The cat-and-mouse duo turn up throughout the venue in Hogwarts robes. There’s a Meet & Greet (guests who enter between 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. and buy ¥2,000 or more of Tom and Jerry collaboration food — including at least one collab item — at Frog Café can collect a ticket there), plus a photo scavenger hunt: track down the hidden Tom and Jerry figures, snap them, and post to social for a chance to win a limited-edition collaboration tote bag.
Planning a visit
Standard admission recently ran ¥7,000 for adults (18+), ¥5,800 for teens (12–17), and ¥4,200 for children (4–11), with under-4s free — though prices vary by season and were updated on July 1, so check the official site for current rates. Popular student discount tickets return for the summer holidays (valid July 17 – September 30, excluding August 8–16). The tour sits in Nerima, Tokyo, a short walk from Toshimaen Station, and tickets must be booked in advance through the official website; they’re non-refundable and sell out on peak dates.
For overseas fans, this one’s Tokyo-only — but it’s an easy addition to a Japan trip. Book your entry slot early on the official Studio Tour Tokyo site, since summer sessions fill up fast.
