Funko’s Remus Lupin Werewolf Pop Returns as a Target Exclusive Limited to 7,500 Pieces

Someone skipped their Wolfsbane Potion. A new Funko Pop! of Remus Lupin in full werewolf form has turned up on a retail shelf ahead of any official announcement — and it carries one of the smallest run sizes the Harry Potter line has ever seen.

The figure is #201 Remus Lupin as Werewolf, and the box prints the headline detail right on the front: Limited Edition, 7,500 pieces. Collector account dis.trackers shared the first look, crediting baytown_collectibles, after the Pop was spotted at an EB Games store in Canada. Fan checklist Harry Potter Pop Vinyls lists it as a Target exclusive from Wave 14.

Where Things Stand

  • Figure: #201, Remus Lupin as Werewolf
  • Run size: 7,500 pieces, printed on the box
  • Retailer: Target
  • Wave: 14 (2026)
  • Status: spotted at retail, no listing live on Target.com
  • Street date: none announced

A quick note on what this is: none of it is official yet. Funko has not announced the figure, there is no Target.com listing, and there is no street date. What we have is a photograph of a box that reached a shelf early, plus a collector checklist entry — so treat the Target exclusivity as strongly indicated rather than confirmed, particularly since the sighting itself happened in Canada, where Target no longer operates.

A Second Howl at the Same Moon

Lupin’s transformation has had the Pop! treatment before. #49 Remus Lupin as Werewolf was a Hot Topic exclusive back in 2017, and it remains one of the more sought-after figures from the early Harry Potter waves. Nine years on, #201 is a fresh sculpt of the same moment — which is exactly what has collectors arguing. The most-liked reply under the first-look post makes the case that Funko should have flocked this one to set it apart from the 2017 release.

Then there is the number. 7,500 pieces is tiny for a mainline retail exclusive rather than a convention piece — small enough that fans are already asking whether it will be in-store, online, or both, and small enough that it will likely be gone the day it lands.

He is not the only new arrival in Wave 14, either. #200 is Harry Potter in his New York sweater, and #202 is the Monster Book of Monsters.

Will you be hunting this one down, or does your 2017 Lupin still do the job? Let us know in the comments, and don’t forget to follow along for more Harry Potter news.
