Harry Potter’s Back-to-School Chocolate Tins Return for a Fourth Year With Three New Hogwarts Designs
There’s a reason the Hogwarts Express has a trolley witch: no student has ever made it to September without snacks. Italian chocolatier Witor’s has been taking notes for a while now, and for the fourth year running it’s building its back-to-school range around the Wizarding World. This time, the packaging is the point.
Witor’s has announced three collectible tin boxes at €14.99 each, arriving in September. They’re built to hold the existing Harry Potter by Witor’s range — and to outlive it, which is rather the idea.
Three Tins, Three Designs
- Hogwarts Castle — the school itself
- Harry — alongside the saga’s most recognisable symbols
- The Hogwarts crest — with all four house emblems: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff

Witor’s has only shown two of the three tins to press so far — the Hogwarts Castle design hasn’t been pictured yet. We’ll add it here when it surfaces.
What’s Inside
Each tin holds a selection from the line, plus a freebie:
- A Popping Candy bar
- A Cioccorana — Witor’s Chocolate Frog
- An assortment of House chocolate bars
- A Harry Potter pencil with eraser, included free
One clarification worth making: the Cioccorana is a milk chocolate bar with a creamy milk filling and cocoa biscuit crunch — not a moulded frog with a wizard card inside. Warner Bros. Discovery’s licensee calls it the iconic Chocolate Frog and the name is official, but it’s a different object from the one Honeydukes sells.
The Rest of the Line Returns
- House bars (40g) — White Chocolate Crunchy Cookies, Dark Chocolate Golden Crystals, Milk Chocolate Caramel Popcorn
- Popping Candy bars (100g and 50g) — with the Sorting Hat embossed in relief on the chocolate
- Cioccorane snacks (200g) — eight single-serve packs
- Hogwarts Express biscuits (126g) — Choco & Biscuit and Creme & Biscuit, shaped like the train ticket
- Character biscuits (200g) — caramel or cocoa, shaped like Harry, Hermione and Ron

One for anyone counting along at home: the three bars cover Gryffindor, Slytherin and Hufflepuff. There is no Ravenclaw bar — the eagle only turns up on the crest tin.
The range uses FairTrade-certified chocolate and moulds made specifically for the licence.
How to Get One Outside Italy
Here’s the catch: this is an Italian line. It goes on sale in September in Italian supermarkets and on the Witor’s e-shop.
Fans elsewhere aren’t locked out. Vico Food Box ships the Witor’s Harry Potter range across the EU and UK, American Uncle stocks it, and Original Candy Co. carries it in Britain. Some Witor’s Potter items have even surfaced in US grocery delivery. The tins are brand new, so expect importers to lag the Italian on-sale date by a few weeks — but every previous year’s line has found its way out eventually.
