Death Eaters Are Taking Over Studio Tour Tokyo for Its First-Ever Halloween Event

The Dark Lord’s followers have found a new stronghold and it’s in Tokyo. Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter has announced “Dark Arts Halloween,” the first Halloween event in the attraction’s history, running September 10 through November 8, 2026.

The event imports the signature Dark Arts concept from Studio Tour London, marking the first time the seasonal takeover has traveled beyond the UK. According to the official announcement, the Tokyo tour will be occupied by Death Eaters, with the Dark Mark appearing throughout the facility as visitors move through the sets.

What’s Inside the Takeover

The Great Hall transforms into a scene straight out of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, with jack-o’-lanterns floating overhead and Halloween treats lining the tables. Deeper in, Dementors lurk in the Forbidden Forest, and the Ministry of Magic set falls under full Death Eater control.

Even the massive Hogwarts Castle model gets the dark treatment: its projection-mapping show — normally themed to each season’s event — turns eerie, with Dementors drifting across the castle. Limited-edition themed food rounds out the experience.

Event Details

For international fans, this is a strong reason to time a fall Tokyo trip — London’s Dark Arts sells out regularly, and Tokyo’s first run should be no different, so book early through the official site.
