One Tiny Castle, One Massive Rumor: LEGO’s Mini Hogwarts Is Official as Ministry of Magic Leaks Swirl

Big things come in small packages — and, if the leaks are to be believed, enormous ones too. LEGO has officially announced the Mini Hogwarts Castle (40975), a 700-piece microscale take on the school arriving August 29 for $39.99. And almost on cue, a fan-drawn sketch hit the rumor mill claiming to show September’s rumored crown jewel: a 3,491-piece Ministry of Magic.

Official: Mini Hogwarts Castle (40975)

The confirmed half first. If this one sounds familiar, it should — we covered the microscale Hogwarts whispers when they first surfaced, and now LEGO has made it real. The set shrinks the castle down to display size, packing in the Great Hall, Main Tower, East Wing, and Astronomy Tower, with a Chamber of Secrets hidden beneath the East Wing and a concealed room holding the Mirror of Erised. Harry and Hedwig soar overhead to finish the look.

The Brick Fan floats the idea that this could kick off a whole microscale subtheme of Wizarding World locations. That’s speculation for now — but a shelf of palm-sized Diagon Alleys and Burrows is a very easy future to imagine.

Rumor: A 3,491-Piece Ministry of Magic (76476)

Now the unconfirmed half. A hand-drawn sketch credited to leaker cmf6169, shared via unibricks and circulating on r/LegoNewsAndRumors, claims to depict LEGO’s next Harry Potter flagship. Here’s what the leak alleges:

  • 76476 Ministry of Magic — 3,491 pieces, September 2026, rumored around $449.99 per earlier Brick Tap reporting
  • Three levels: a London street up top with the red telephone box entrance, a Ministry atrium in the middle staging Dumbledore’s duel with Voldemort — Floo fireplaces, stacked offices, and a golden-statue fountain — and an underground level with what appears to be the Death Chamber plus either the courtroom or the Hall of Prophecy
  • Roughly 14 minifigures, reportedly including Harry, Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore, Voldemort, Dolores Umbridge, Mad-Eye Moody, Nymphadora Tonks, Mrs. Figg, Arthur Weasley, a goblin, possibly Sirius Black, and two unidentified figures

Take this with the usual caveat that these are unverified leaks: the image is a fan sketch of an alleged prototype, the original post itself stresses the final set could change, and LEGO hasn’t confirmed a thing. Still, a Battle of the Department of Mysteries centerpiece would be the biggest Ministry set ever made by a comfortable margin.
