Krispy Kreme’s Harry Potter Doughnuts Finally Land in Japan — Including a Sorting Hat Surprise

The Sorting Ceremony has never been this delicious. Krispy Kreme Japan is teaming up with Warner Bros. Discovery for its first-ever Harry Potter collaboration in the country, bringing a full lineup of Hogwarts-inspired doughnuts and a Golden Snitch drink to all Krispy Kreme locations nationwide — plus select Harry Potter Mahou Dokoro stores — from August 21 through September 29, 2026.

If this looks familiar, there’s a reason: this is the collaboration that ran at Krispy Kreme locations in the US, UK, and other countries last year. After a wave of requests from Japanese fans asking for their turn, it’s finally landing in Japan — timed to the 25th anniversary of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.”

For a taste of what’s coming, here’s our own look at this lineup when it hit the US this time last year:

The doughnut lineup

Gryffindor Strawberry — ¥486 (about US$3; ¥495 eat-in)
Strawberry icing, almond crunch, and a strawberry cream filling, finished with the Gryffindor emblem.

Blueberry-scented icing with Ravenclaw-colored sugar sprinkles.

Hufflepuff Butterscotch — ¥486 (about US$3; ¥495 eat-in)

Sorting Hat Doughnut — ¥702 (about US$4.40; ¥715 eat-in)
The star of the drop: a Sorting Hat doughnut wrapped in bitter chocolate with a surprise inside — one of four house-colored milk creams, chosen at random. You don’t know which house you’ve been sorted into until you take a bite. It comes solo in a limited-edition special box, available only while supplies last.

Hogwarts Box (4-pack) — ¥1,944 (about US$12; ¥1,980 eat-in)
All four house doughnuts in a special collaboration box, which also earns you a limited-edition sticker — a trunk design in the first wave (from August 21), and a special collab-logo design in the second (from September 11), while supplies last.

Golden Snitch Latte

The Krispy Frozen Golden Snitch Latte (¥734 / about US$4.60; ¥748 eat-in) rounds out the menu: a toffee-flavored frozen latte with caramel and browned-butter syrup, whipped cream, caramel crunch, shimmering gold sprinkles, and an original collab sleeve on the cup.

The extras

Shop at the Mahou Dokoro stores in Tokyo Station, Landmark Plaza, or Sakae Park during the campaign, then show your receipt with any Krispy Kreme purchase and you’ll get a free Original Glazed. And Krispy Kreme’s Tokyo International Forum location is getting a full Hogwarts makeover for the run — house banners and a Platform 9¾ brick wall with a half-vanished luggage cart, built as a photo spot.

For fans outside Japan: this one is in-store only, so it’s a “plan your trip around it” situation rather than an order-online one — but if you’ll be anywhere near Tokyo before September 29, the International Forum store looks like the stop to make. Following Krispy Kreme Japan’s social accounts is the best way to track availability, since the Sorting Hat doughnut and collab boxes are limited quantities.
