“Draco x Flitwick”: Warwick Davis Surprises Tom Felton at “Cursed Child” on Broadway
Every wizard remembers who taught them the Levitation Charm — and on Thursday night, Draco Malfoy’s Charms professor was sitting in a Broadway audience watching him cast it. Tom Felton shared a set of photos from the Lyric Theatre after Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, where his surprise guest was Warwick Davis, who played Professor Filius Flitwick and Griphook across the eight Harry Potter films.
“Had a special guest & dear friend come see the show tonight – tbh I nearly cried on stage saying ‘Wingardium Leviosa’ knowing he was watching,” Felton wrote, tagging Davis and signing off with the only hashtag the moment could possibly take: #swishandflick.

A Charms Lesson, Twenty-Five Years Later
The carousel tells the whole story. The first image catches Felton mid-hug with Davis on the Cursed Child set, still in costume. The second is a Polaroid stuck to Felton’s dressing-room mirror, labelled in marker: “’26 NYC — DRACO X FLITWICK.” The third is a short clip of the two of them heading out the stage door together into a New York night, past a barricade of waiting fans.
It is a neat bit of symmetry. Davis first swished and flicked his way through a Hogwarts Charms lesson in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone back in 2001, with an 11-year-old Felton somewhere in the classroom. Twenty-five years on, Felton is the one saying the incantation — as a grown-up Draco, on a Broadway stage, with his old professor in the seats.
Felton’s Draco Just Got One Last Extension
Fans still hoping to catch him have a little more time than they did last week. Producers announced on Tuesday that Felton will stay with the Broadway production through Sunday, January 3, 2027 — he had previously been booked through November 1 — and they have described this as his final extension.
Felton began his engagement at the Lyric Theatre on November 11, 2025, as the first member of the original film cast to join the stage production anywhere in the world. Since he arrived, Cursed Child has sat at or near the top of the Broadway grosses charts, and it set a Lyric Theatre house record with $3.7 million over the nine-performance week ending December 28, 2025.
One thing to check before booking: Felton is not scheduled to perform August 18–23, September 15–20, October 12–18, or November 2.
