Harry Potter Shop New York Celebrates Its Fifth Anniversary With Five Days of Festivities
Pack your Firebolt and point it toward Broadway, because the Harry Potter Shop New York is throwing itself a birthday party. The flagship store at 935 Broadway is marking five years in the Flatiron District with five days of celebrations running June 3 through June 7, 2026.
Since opening its doors in 2021, the three-floor store has grown into one of the biggest Wizarding World destinations in the United States, and the anniversary leans all the way into the occasion. Guests are met with birthday balloons and banners, navy-and-gold “Five Years!” party hats, and a giant red-and-black cake crowned with a rising phoenix.
The centerpiece is an interactive scavenger hunt with a Daily Prophet-themed map. Fans track down tokens hidden across both levels of the store, and anyone who completes the map earns a commemorative five-year anniversary prize.
Each day brings its own perk. Opening day handed out free party hats, a limited-edition anniversary pin with any purchase, and slices of birthday cake for the first 100 guests through the door. On June 4, the store is donating $1 from every transaction to The Birthday Party Project, a charity that creates celebrations for children experiencing homelessness. A new range of exclusive anniversary merchandise rolls out beginning June 5, and the festivities continue through the weekend.
Best of all, stepping inside is free, so the only thing between you and a slice of Hagrid-worthy cake is a trip to Manhattan.
