Harry Potter 25th Anniversary Theater Merch: Hogwarts Express Popcorn Bucket & More
Harry Potter’s 25th anniversary theater merch is on the way — and the early teaser images already have collectors buzzing.
Village Cinemas in Australia kicked things off with a teaser reel showing darkened silhouettes of the upcoming items, each frame carrying official WBEI and J.K. Rowling copyright notices — a strong sign this is a fully licensed release. The most talked-about shape? What looks unmistakably like a Hogwarts Express popcorn bucket.
Other silhouettes in the teaser appear to hint at more collectibles — including a boxy container fans think could be a Monster Book of Monsters bucket, a tall tumbler in line with rumored house cup designs, and a trio of character topper cups.
The full lineup hasn’t been officially revealed yet, but Fantasy Land News reports the anniversary run could include roughly 10–15 items, with many expected to reach U.S. theater chains too — so this isn’t just an Australia exclusive.
It’s all tied to the “25 Years of Magic” theatrical celebration of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone / Sorcerer’s Stone. The film returns to the big screen globally between August 27 and September 3, 2026, reportedly with around 10 minutes of never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage.
In Australia, Village Cinemas is going all in:
- Philosopher’s Stone back on the big screen from August 20
- 4DX screenings at Century City from August 20
- Standard and Gold Class screenings at select locations
- A Harry Potterthon marathon — films 1–4 on August 22, films 5–8 on August 23
If that Hogwarts Express bucket is real, collectors are going to be watching this one closely. Are you picking this up if it comes to a theater near you? Let us know in the comments, and don’t forget to follow along for the latest Harry Potter news.
