Amazon Quietly Dropped Four Harry Potter Echo Pop Speakers, One for Every Hogwarts House
Alexa has been reading Harry Potter aloud for years. Now she has finally been sorted.
Amazon has quietly added a Harry Potter line to its Echo Pop range — four house-themed versions of the compact smart speaker, one each for Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. All four are live on Amazon now at $59.99, and none of them arrived with an announcement.

What’s Actually in the Box
Each one is a bundle rather than a new piece of hardware: an officially licensed Hogwarts house faceplate and a matching silicone sleeve, packaged with a standard Echo Pop. The crest art sits across the speaker’s flat front face, and the sleeve wraps the half-sphere body in house colours.
Underneath, it is the same Echo Pop you already know — a 1.95-inch front-firing speaker, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Matter support, and full Alexa+ access included free for Prime members. Amazon’s own spec sheet lists the generation as “Echo Pop – 2023 release (1st Gen),” so despite the “newest model” wording in the listing title, this is a dress-up of existing hardware rather than an upgrade.

A Few Honest Notes
Amazon calls these limited-edition but has not published a run size or an end date, so treat “limited” as marketing language until there is something firmer to point at. There is also no official launch announcement to cite — no press release, no Amazon blog post, no coverage anywhere. The first price-tracking data on the listings appears on August 11, 2026, and the earliest customer review lands on August 13, which points to a mid-August arrival, but Amazon has not confirmed a date.
It is also worth saying plainly: at $59.99 you are paying a premium over the standard Echo Pop for a faceplate and a sleeve. Whether that is worth it depends entirely on how much you want a house crest looking back at you from the nightstand.
The Rest of Amazon’s Wizarding World Shelf
The Echo Pop joins a small but growing line of first-party Amazon devices dressed in Harry Potter artwork. Both of these are still available:
Harry Potter Echo Dot

A limited-edition Echo Dot wrapped in artwork celebrating Harry Potter: The Full-Cast Audio Editions on Audible. The audiobooks themselves are sold separately — this is the speaker only.
