American Tourister Launches a Harry Potter Back-to-School Collection in India

Accio school supplies! Harry Potter is heading back to the classroom — at least for young witches and wizards in India. American Tourister has partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products to launch an exclusive Harry Potter collection of bags, luggage and stationery, timed to the start of the new school year.

The range spans backpacks, hard-side luggage, crossbody bags, drawstring bags and stationery accessories, split across two age-focused lines. The ‘Under 10’ range leans into full Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry branding with school backpacks, lunch bags, pencil cases, drawstring pouches and kid-sized luggage. The ‘Early and Pre-Teen’ range takes a more understated, house-inspired approach across backpacks, crossbody bags, drawstring bags and luggage — closer to everyday carry than costume.

The fun is in the details: every piece carries Harry Potter-inspired graphics, silicone zip pullers and interchangeable velcro house badges, so a young witch or wizard can swap in their own Hogwarts house. Select items in the kids’ range also add Quidditch-themed stickers and Crookshanks zip charms, and the bags are built to mix and match into coordinated school-and-travel sets.

Here is a closer look at the collection in action:

Prices start at ₹250 for accessories, ₹1,690 for backpacks and ₹4,290 for luggage, putting at least one piece within reach across most budgets. American Tourister India’s Chief Business Officer, Anushree Tainwala, framed the launch as a generational handoff, saying the Potter universe “is woven into the childhood memories of an entire generation of Indian parents.”

The collection is available now across American Tourister’s retail stores, leading luggage and lifestyle retailers, Amazon India and the brand’s official online channels — but for now it’s an India-exclusive launch. Fans elsewhere don’t have an official local release yet; the most reliable routes are ordering through Amazon India or a package-forwarding service, and keeping an eye out in case the line expands to other markets.
