Harry Potter Mahou Dokoro Expands to Taichung: Opening Exclusives, Prices, and Freebies
Central Taiwan is getting its letter to Hogwarts. Harry Potter – Mahou Dokoro (“Magical Place”), the officially licensed merchandise brand from Japan, opens its second Taiwan store on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Taichung — following up its first Taiwan location in Taipei’s Nangang district, and timed to the 25th anniversary of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.”
The new store takes over roughly 75 ping (about 2,700 square feet) on the 2nd floor of LaLaport Taichung’s North Building, with the brand’s signature immersive styling — film-inspired displays and design details throughout.

The store is at 600 Jinde Road, East District, Taichung (near Taichung Station), open 11:00–22:00 weekdays and 10:30–22:00 on weekends and holidays. For fans outside Taiwan, these are in-store exclusives — so it’s one to bookmark for a Taichung trip, or to watch the brand’s social accounts for wider releases.
