Harry Potter Takes Over Cosm Detroit’s Giant Dome for Opening Month: Dates, Menu and Tickets
Forget the Floo Network. Detroit fans can now step straight into Hogwarts, because Cosm opens its downtown venue today, and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is on the opening-month lineup.
Cosm Detroit sits at 25 Cadillac Square, right beside Campus Martius Park, and it’s the company’s fourth location. The Harry Potter screenings run on select dates through September 30, presented in what Cosm calls Shared Reality.

What Shared Reality Actually Means
The film itself stays at the center of the screen, but the world around it spills out across the venue’s enormous LED dome. Hogwarts and other Wizarding World environments are built out around the audience, with hidden details tucked in for fans to spot. Cosm produced the experience with Warner Bros. Pictures, Little Cinema and MakeMake to mark the film’s 25th anniversary.

The Enchanted Experience Menu
Cosm is offering a themed menu from $40 per ticket, and it’s a proper Honeydukes haul:
- Bottled Butterbeer
- House-made shepherd’s pie
- A Chocolate Frog
- Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans
One tip: add the menu when you pick your seats. Cosm says booking it at checkout is 20% cheaper than buying it at the venue.
Tickets
Dates and seats are on Cosm Detroit’s Harry Potter event page. The same Shared Reality version of Sorcerer’s Stone has already played Cosm’s Los Angeles and Dallas domes, so if Detroit is out of reach, keep an eye on your nearest venue.
