“Harry Potter: Visions of Magic” Has Quietly Announced Its China Premiere in Chengdu
Illuminate the invisible, the tagline goes. Fittingly, this one appeared without much light on it at all.

Harry Potter: Visions of Magic has added Chengdu to its list of destinations, billed on the official Chinese-language site as the experience’s China premiere. It’s set for Tianfu Design Industrial Park and scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of 2026. The waitlist is open now.
For anyone who hasn’t followed this one: Visions of Magic is the interactive art experience built by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences with NEON, and it’s a different animal from Harry Potter: The Exhibition. Rather than props and costumes behind glass, it’s a self-guided walk through a series of built environments — the Ministry of Magic, Newt’s Menagerie, the Pensieve, Grimmauld Place — where you carry a wand and use it to reveal things hidden in the rooms around you.

A quick note on what we know
This one landed on the official site rather than through a press release, which is why the detail is thin. There’s no opening date, no ticket pricing and no on-sale date yet — only the Q4 2026 window and the venue. Treat anything more specific you see floating around as unconfirmed until the site or NEON says otherwise.
Where things stand
- City: Chengdu, Sichuan — the experience’s first China venue
- Venue: Tianfu Design Industrial Park
- Window: Q4 2026
- Tickets: Waitlist only, no pricing announced
- Presented by: Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences with NEON
The wider picture is the interesting part. The experience world-premiered in Germany in December 2023, made its Asia debut at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore in November 2024 — the largest version to date, with ten environments including The Chamber of Secrets and The Trap Door — and opened its Canadian premiere at Place Bonaventure in Montréal in March 2026. The official homepage now lists exactly two live destinations, Singapore and Chengdu, followed by a “next stop?” teaser. Read into that what you like.
For US and UK readers, the honest answer is that this is a China-market run and there’s nothing announced closer to home. If you want to be first to hear about a stop that is near you, the waitlist on the main site is the only signal worth watching.
