The mention landed in WBD’s 2Q26 shareholder letter, published August 6, 2026, as the company walked investors through its Games division. WBD said it expects Games to “more meaningfully contribute to segment profitability going forward” as its pipeline expands — “including the second installment of Hogwarts Legacy.”

The letter doesn’t even name a developer, though Avalanche Software — the studio behind the original, under the Portkey Games label — is the safe assumption.
