One of the Biggest Harry Potter Sets Ever: LEGO Reveals the 3,491-Piece Ministry of Magic

After a summer of leaks that we’ve been tracking every step of the way, LEGO has officially pulled back the curtain: The Ministry of Magic – Collectors’ Edition (76476) was revealed today on LEGO.com, and it’s a monster — 3,491 pieces, 14 minifigures, and a price tag to match at $449.99 (£389.99 / €429.99).

We first flagged this one back when it was still a whisper — from the mid-July leak pointing to one of the biggest Harry Potter sets ever, to the late-July swirl of rumors, to the first real box images that surfaced on August 2. Now it’s real, it’s official, and nearly every leaked detail held up.

When You Can Buy It

The set goes on sale August 29, 2026 for LEGO Insiders, with the general release following on September 1 — timed to land right alongside LEGO’s annual Back to Hogwarts celebration. As a Collectors’ Edition aimed at adult builders, it carries an 18+ badge.

Three Levels of the Wizarding World

Like the Collectors’ Edition sets before it — Hogsmeade, The Burrow, Gringotts, and Diagon Alley — 76476 is built as a layered, minifigure-scale slice of London. The street level is the ordinary Muggle world, complete with the London Underground entrance and the famous red telephone box that doubles as the Ministry’s visitor entrance. The middle opens into the Ministry itself, and the bottom level descends into the Hall of Prophecy — the setting for the climactic Order of the Phoenix showdown between Dumbledore’s Army and the Death Eaters.

Fun Functions and Easter Eggs

This being a Collectors’ Edition, it’s stuffed with playful mechanisms. You can “flush” a minifigure from a restroom stall down into the Ministry below (a nod to the Muggle-Born Registration Commission sequence in Deathly Hallows), topple the towering shelves in the Hall of Prophecy during Death Eater battles, and hunt down the many Easter eggs tucked into the detailed interiors.

14 Minifigures — Including a First-Ever

The lineup leans heavily on the Order of the Phoenix, with a few Death Eaters for good measure. The full roster: Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Sirius Black, Albus Dumbledore, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Nymphadora Tonks, Arthur Weasley, Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody, Arabella Figg, Lord Voldemort, Lucius Malfoy, Antonin Dolohov, and Dolores Umbridge.

Two standouts: this is the first-ever minifigure of Arabella Figg, Harry’s Squib neighbor from Privet Drive, and the set includes a brand-new 25th-anniversary Lynx Patronus element — Kingsley Shacklebolt’s magical guardian that carried messages between the Order and the Ministry.

The Box

At $449.99 it’s a serious investment — landing it among the largest Wizarding World sets LEGO has ever made, behind the likes of Hogwarts Castle, Diagon Alley, and the Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition. But for the display-shelf crowd, a three-level Ministry with a flushing loo and a collapsing Hall of Prophecy is a hard one to resist.
