The Sprayed-Edge Polish Harry Potter Set Reaches ‘Half-Blood Prince’ on October 14
Book six of Poland’s own Harry Potter set is almost here. Media Rodzina, the series’ Polish publisher, releases the Polish Half-Blood Prince (Harry Potter i Książę Półkrwi) with Kaja Bajowska’s cover and sprayed edges on October 14, 2026. It’s on pre-order now from Media Rodzina’s own store.
✦ First Look ✦
Poland’s first homegrown covers
Media Rodzina bills Bajowska’s covers as the first designed in Poland in the series’ history. The set began with Philosopher’s Stone on October 29, 2025, 25 years after the book first came out in Poland. Media Rodzina has added a volume every few months since.
When the series launched, Media Rodzina said her art draws on the novels rather than the films’ casting, so this Harry, Ron and Hermione are her own. Bajowska trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź and has spent more than 15 years in illustration and concept art, with a following in the games industry. The text is Andrzej Polkowski’s long-standing Polish translation.

Ordering from outside Poland
Media Rodzina ships internationally through Poczta Polska, Poland’s national postal service. Rates are calculated by weight, and the published figures are estimates:
- Europe: about 54 zł (US$14) standard, or 62 zł (US$16) airmail
- Canada: about 78 zł (US$20)
- South America and Asia: about 85 zł (US$22)
- Australia and Oceania: about 99 zł (US$26)
Free shipping over 100 zł applies only within Poland, and cash on delivery isn’t offered abroad. The store is in Polish, so a browser translation tool helps at checkout. Because shipping is priced by weight rather than per book, buying several volumes in one order may cost less than ordering them separately. A package forwarder with a Polish address is another option.
How to order from the US
Direct orders aren’t an option right now. Poczta Polska stopped accepting parcels with goods to the United States in August 2025, after the US ended its duty-free threshold for low-value imports, and it hasn’t set a date to resume. There are two good workarounds.
The easiest option: eBay. Search eBay.com for “Harry Potter barwione brzegi”. Sellers based in Poland list the sprayed-edge set there with free delivery to the US, and import fees are paid to the carrier before delivery. Shipping is built into the price, so books one to four currently run about US$47–61 each. Half-Blood Prince should turn up after its October 14 release; check that the listing says “barwione brzegi” or carries the ISBN 978-83-8416-094-7.
The backup: a parcel forwarder. A forwarder gives you a Polish delivery address and sends your order on to the US by courier. It takes more steps, but you pay Polish prices:
- Get a Polish address. Sign up with a Poland-based forwarder such as ParcelPoland, Polbox or Shopogolic. You’ll be given a delivery address in Poland.
- Order the book. Use that address at checkout on Media Rodzina’s store, or on Amazon.pl, which often lists the set for less. Orders over 100 zł ship free within Poland, so adding an earlier volume covers the domestic leg; a single copy costs 15 zł (about US$4) by DPD courier.
- Ship it home by courier. Once the book reaches the forwarder, have it sent on by DHL, UPS or FedEx. The courier handles US customs, and may add a clearance fee on delivery.
Courier shipping to the US will likely cost more than the book itself, so it pays to bundle several volumes into one shipment. Forwarders’ prices and services vary, so compare quotes before you order. We haven’t tested these services ourselves.
