Robert Pattinson Jokes About Sending His Daughter to “Hogwarts” While Filming The Batman in London

Cedric Diggory is thinking about term dates. Robert Pattinson, who played the Hogwarts champion in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, has revealed he already has his eye on a very particular first school for his two-year-old daughter — and it has a Wizarding World address.

Speaking to GQ ahead of the release of The Odyssey, the 40-year-old explained the happy bit of geography behind the plan. The Batman: Part II is set to shoot in London right next to the set where Warner Bros. is filming the new HBO Harry Potter series. Since productions that size provide on-set schooling for their young cast, Pattinson scoped out the option for his daughter while he’s working nearby.

“I was like, ‘This is where you’re going to go to school. To Hogwarts,'” he told the outlet. “And I legitimately think that might actually be her first school.”

A quick note on what this is: the “Hogwarts” line is Pattinson’s joke, not a literal enrollment — he’s referring to the on-set tutoring provided for child actors on the Harry Potter production, not the castle itself. A charming overlap, though, for a former Triwizard competitor.

Pattinson shares his daughter, born in March 2024, with fiancée Suki Waterhouse, and the pair keep her largely out of the spotlight. That hasn’t stopped the doting dad from sharing the occasional story — including admitting she’s already seen “so many” of his films, and that he sometimes points at the screen to remind her exactly who’s in charge at home.
