“Wizards of Baking” Is Back for Season 3 — With a House Tournament and a New Country

Aprons on. Food Network has renewed Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking for a third season, arriving in the fourth quarter of 2026 on Food Network and HBO Max — and this time the format has been sorted.

To mark 25 years of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the competition becomes a house tournament. Bakers compete in teams, each representing Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin, with every episode paying tribute to one of the eight films. The announcement already teased a distressingly lifelike Fluffy and a fully inflated Aunt Marge, which tells you how literal the challenges are going to get.

James and Oliver Phelps return as hosts, as they have since the show began. Twins presiding over a house competition built on sabotage-adjacent baking remains appropriate casting.

The change nobody is leading with

Season 3 is moving production from the UK to Canada, following a budget reduction. The first two seasons filmed in England at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, using the actual film sets — the Great Hall, Gringotts, Diagon Alley — which was a large part of the show’s appeal.

Food Network is still promising recognizable settings and “iconic locations,” but a Canadian shoot means those locations will be built rather than borrowed. Whether that reads as a downgrade is going to depend entirely on the set-dressing budget, and it is the thing worth watching when the first trailer lands.

The show has earned the renewal. Season 2 drew more than 10 million cross-platform viewers with year-over-year ratings gains, and the series is slotted into Food Network’s annual holiday lineup.

Every reveal from the showcase is in our Back to Hogwarts 2026 hub.
