A Dragon, a Knight Bus, and Butterbeer on Tap: Harry Potter Shop Oxford Street Opens November 4

Grab your Gringotts vault key — London’s newest wizarding destination finally has an opening date, and it’s bringing Diagon Alley to Oxford Street.

Warner Bros. announced today that Harry Potter Shop Oxford Street will open on November 4, 2026, inside The Ribbon development at 134–140 Oxford Street. Spanning more than 21,000 square feet across two floors, it will be the UK’s largest Harry Potter shop and the country’s second official Harry Potter retail destination, joining the shop at King’s Cross Station.

Inspired by Diagon Alley

This isn’t just a bigger King’s Cross. The flagship is designed around Diagon Alley itself, and the newly released concept artwork shows just how far Warner Bros. is taking the theme. Inside, fans will find:

  • A Ukrainian Ironbelly Dragon towering over the Gringotts area of the store
  • A full-sized Knight Bus
  • The Leaky Cauldron, a wizarding pub where visitors can sit down for food and Butterbeer — an all-new food and beverage experience created exclusively for the Oxford Street flagship

The shop will also offer in-store personalisation, including customised house robes, exclusive trunks, notebooks, and the personalised Hogwarts Acceptance Letter. Warner Bros. says more surprises will be revealed before opening day.

A date with history

The opening date is no accident of the calendar: November 4, 2026 lands exactly 25 years after Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone held its world premiere in London on November 4, 2001 — and just weeks before the HBO series arrives on Christmas Day.

Planning a London trip? The shop sits between Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Road, on one of the world’s busiest shopping streets — and entry is a shop visit, not a ticketed attraction, so international fans passing through this winter can simply walk in.
