Hogwarts Legacy 2 Rumors Point to Diagon Alley and Quidditch, But Remain Unconfirmed
Take this one with a generous pinch of Floo powder. A “leak” detailing Hogwarts Legacy 2 has been racing around social media and gaming sites this week, promising a vastly bigger wizarding world — but dig into where it came from, and it looks far more like fan wishlisting than an actual scoop.
As rounded up by NoobFeed and others, the supposed leak claims the sequel will:
- Expand the open world well beyond Hogwarts and Hogsmeade into London, Diagon Alley and even Privet Drive
- Add seamless flying-car travel between areas
- Finally introduce playable Quidditch, long the fandom’s most-requested missing feature
- Target an early-2027 release, timed to ride the momentum of HBO’s Harry Potter series
Here’s the problem: the claims trace back to a social account that openly describes itself as a satirical, unofficial fan page — not a proven leaker or an industry insider. Warner Bros. Games and developer Avalanche Software have confirmed none of it, and reporting suggests the speculation may have snowballed from something as ordinary as Avalanche hiring a new community manager earlier this year.
That doesn’t mean a sequel isn’t coming — the original Hogwarts Legacy was a massive seller, and another game feels likely eventually. But there’s a real difference between “this would be a smart move” and “this has leaked,” and right now this is firmly the former. Until Warner Bros. says otherwise, treat Diagon Alley, Quidditch and that 2027 date as fan hopes, not facts.
