Japan’s Official “Harry Potter” Shop Unveils a Dumbledore’s Lectern Owl Wand Stand

Accio shelf space. The owl that presides over the Great Hall has been cast in gold and put to work — and right now it’s only landing on one storefront.

The official Harry Potter Shop Japan has added the Dumbledore’s Lectern Owl Wand Stand to its wand range, a resin display piece modeled on the winged owl lectern the headmaster speaks from at Hogwarts feasts. It’s listed as a new arrival at ¥8,000 — roughly $50 at current exchange rates.

An Owl With Its Wings Fully Out

Rather than a flat podium, the stand is sculpted as the lectern’s owl itself: wings thrown wide, talons wrapped around a twisted column, the whole thing seated on an octagonal plinth with a decorative band running around the base. The finish is a heavy metallic gold, with sculpted feather detail across the wings and breast.

The practical trick sits behind those wings. The stand holds up to four wands upright, fanned out so they read as part of the sculpture rather than propped against it — which makes this one of the more genuinely useful display options going for anyone whose collection has quietly outgrown its boxes.

Can You Get One Outside Japan?

Not straightforwardly, at least not yet. As things stand the owl lectern appears on the Japanese storefront only — a search of the US store turns up just two wand stands, the single-wand Hogwarts School Motto stand and a Warner Bros. Studio Tour double stand, while the UK store carries only the Motto stand — nothing resembling the owl lectern on either. The Japanese listing quotes domestic delivery terms, so fans elsewhere will likely need a proxy buyer or a package-forwarding service in the meantime.

One detail worth noting, though: the box is branded simply Harry Potter Shop rather than flagged as a Japan exclusive, and that’s the same official retail line behind the US and UK stores. A wider release later isn’t off the table — we’ll flag it if it lands.
