PowerA Harry Potter accessories for Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox, including Hogwarts house protection cases and a Quidditch-inspired controller

PowerA Signs a Multi-Year Warner Bros. Deal and Opens With Harry Potter Gaming Gear

Game night just got sorted into houses.

PowerA announced a multi-year licensing partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products on September 15, and didn’t make anyone wait for the goods. The debut collection of officially licensed Harry Potter gaming accessories for Nintendo Switch and Xbox went on sale the same day at PowerA.com and participating retailers.

The debut lineup

  • Nintendo Switch 2 Advantage Wireless Controller — $69.99, four designs, one per Hogwarts house
  • Nintendo Switch 2 Protection Cases — $24.99, also split across the four houses, with a case to match each controller
  • Xbox Wired Controller — $34.99, Harry, Hermione, Ron and other characters in a playful chibi art style
  • Xbox Advantage Wireless Controller — $99.99, built around Quidditch, with gold-accented detailing and a Hogwarts emblem at the center

Why it’s more than a one-off

The word doing the work in the announcement is “multi-year.” PowerA’s Director of Licensing and Strategic Partnerships, Kiley Jacobson, called the partnership personally meaningful as a lifelong fan, and said the aim is accessories that feel authentic to the Wizarding World while holding PowerA’s usual performance standard. Jacobson also pointed to more products to come out of the collaboration.

PowerA sits under ACCO Brands and already holds licensing deals across a stack of major gaming properties, so the infrastructure for a long-running line is in place. Given the Switch 2’s install base and an HBO series arriving at Christmas, the odds of this staying a four-product collection are slim.

There’s an obvious gap worth naming: there’s no PlayStation gear here. PowerA’s licensing arrangements have historically centered on Nintendo and Xbox, so anyone hoping for a Hogwarts DualSense shouldn’t hold their breath on this particular deal.

The full collection is live now on PowerA’s site.
